Jesus
said; "Go ye..." (Matt 28:19)
He
hasn't said come back yet, so I ask, why are we
here? Why are we still here? Why are we still
imprisoned in our little comfort zones and
conveniences? Something is amiss. We have become too
sophisticated to obey. We are busy, yeah! Busy
with what we wrongly call ministry. Think, what
are we busy about? Is it to His convenience or to
our own? He simply said go ye. Go tell them about
Jesus. We have since been trying to manufacture
ways of going that have proved un
successful. Technology has advanced, and very good
it has helped some. It is possible to reach out
through the Internet, radio and the television.
Anybody with a television set today can have church at
home. But let's do
some evaluation. Jesus said go … unto the uttermost
parts of the world. The population that is
currently
known as uttermost world doesn't have
access to all that technology. So while we try to
be hi-tech, all we are actually doing is taking
the Gospel where it has already been. What radio
can you use to reach a Lokore villager? What TV.
Channel and in what language will broadcast to
malakote? Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the
uttermost world. Such technology doesn't mean
anything in the uttermost. They have no idea what
a computer or a satellite is. There are methods
that just can't be substituted, like a simple go.
It simply means go. For the part of the world
where you can carry yourself in a tube or a
handset, good enough. Not so in the uttermost. To
make any impact in the uttermost, you have to
carry yourself in a body. A natural clay formed
body. I am not suggesting a mass immigration to
the uttermost. It is true that some need to stay
but ironically all of us need to go. Jesus said go
to the uttermost. The commission has been given to
Every Christian. You heard me right; every
Christian is commanded to go. So even if you stay,
yet you must go somehow. Send someone in your
stead. Not a text, not a program, a person. No one
has an excuse not to go. Use your resources to fulfill
the Master's Commission. So make sure you go
somehow. I am going, and with your gift, you are
going with me.
